At this weekend's San Diego Comic-Con the executive producer of CW's Arrow announced that DC Comics character Wildcat would be appearing in the upcoming third season of the popular superhero show. Now comes word that former Emily Owens, M.D. actor, J.R. Ramirez, has been cast and will play a pivotal role in Laurel Lance's arc in season three.
In the comics, Ted "Wildcat" Grant, is a member of the Justice Society of America and is trainer of many heroes including Black Canary. This leads us to believe he'll be training Laurel for her eventual run up to taking over for her sister, the current Canary, Sara.
On the show he'll be portrayed as a former boxer who runs a gym for at-risk kids. And of course the hunky Grant will have a mysterious past (doesn't everyone in Starling City?).
