Any chance we get to feature the Queen of Cosplay, Yaya Han, under the masterful lens of photographer Brian Boling we will...every...time. We could literally feature Han everyday in a different custom crafted costume if we wanted. Oh, and don't think we haven't considered it.

You would think a successful writer/producer like David S. Goyer who has made his fortune as the golden boy of comic book adaptations for Warner Bros. would have more reverence for the medium he exploits and some would say mangles. During a podcast he was asked how he would tackle the stories of particular heroes and it devolved quickly. He described his theory of She-Hulk as a "giant green porn star that only the Hulk could fuck" and went on to challenge the virginity of fans of the Martian Manhunter. The man who could be tasked to write a potential Wonder Woman movie is also a sexist douchebag.
The marketing push has begun for Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For film based on his graphic novel with five character posters released today. They were released separately through various sites then through co-director Robert Rodriguez's Twitter account.

“To fight the unthinkable, you have to be willing to do the unthinkable.” -SaraIn the season finale of Arrow entitled 'Unthinkable,' we get two conclusions for the price of one. This is as close as you'll get to a cinematic action film on broadcast network television and showrunners pulled out all the stops bringing it on the season two finale.

COMIC BOOK Pull List: Afterlife with Archie, Princeless, Superman Doomed, Shutter, Lumberjanes, and More
Some great titles from indies come out today. Check out this week's spotlight on new releases.
Indies top our spotlight this week starting with the unexpectedly great series over at Archie Comics from
Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Francesco Francavilla with Afterlife with Archie #5. The initial thought of a zombie apocalypse hitting Riverdale was funny at first but then the books proved to be some of the best horror comics in the industry. The serious take on the genre helped to create some serious dread because here we have characters we've known for decades but now are in actual danger.
|This version was colorized with blue hues and a black bat emblem|
No sooner than Zack Snyder dropped a first look at Ben Affleck in the Batsuit next to the new Batmobile did the internet begin to colorize and alter the original monochromatic shot with varying results.
Tuesday, May 13, 2014
After teasing a Batmobile reveal yesterday, Zack Snyder delivered not only a better look at Batman's ride but Batman himself. A jacked Ben Affleck appears in costume in a Frank Miller-inspired version of the suit and cowl. This first look came courtesy of Snyder's Twitter account with some apparent sponsored support.
Nonetheless, the monochromatic, gritty pic reveals one of the most iconic looks of Batman and the Batmobile shed its Tumbler bulkiness for a sleeker stealth exterior. This should appease and calm the torch-and-pitchfork crowd online who weren't on board with Affleck as the Dark Knight. Then again maybe not but so far Snyder has the aesthetics down.

'Streets of Fire' took a literal turn on last night's Arrow as Slade's master plan to destroy Starling City was set in motion. Mirakuru-injected masked minions rampage the city as Ollie and company try to survive and get the cure in their hands. Thea gets a surprise visit and Papa Lance gets a second chance. Mayor Blood turns a corner and Amanda Waller returns to...help? Another thrilling episode that feels like a finale but sets the stage for the biggest season finale the show has had.

It's the perfect time to jump on the bandwagon.

The aftermath of Moira Queen's death could have seen Oliver Queen go on a blind rampage hell-bent on revenge and that would have been the easy, safe and typical response in a superhero show. Instead, in "City of Blood" Oliver was allowed to be a fragile human being in the wake of losing not just another loved one in his battle against evil in Starling City but his own mother at the hands of Slade Wilson. The only thing stopping him from succumbing to Wilson were the people at the heart of his support system - Felicity, Diggle and now Laurel.
