The bizarrely brilliant folks at Animation Domination High-Def  have put together a ridiculously funny "What if.." montage featuring a slew of actors donning the cape and cowl after Ben Affleck as Batman in 'Future Batmen.' I would pay good money to see Kevin Spacey as Batman. Check it out.

PREVIEW: Storm #1 (Marvel) by Greg Pak and Victor Ibanez

Storm #1 represents the first on-going series for the legendary member of X-Men written by Greg Pak with art by Victor Ibanez. Not sure why it has taken Marvel this long to make it happen but they're definitely making great strides by adding this female-led title to others in the All-New Marvel Now! line that includes Black Widow, She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel and the all-woman X-Men book.

REVIEW: Trees #1 by Warren Ellis and Jason Howard

The new Image title from Warren Ellis and Jason Howard, Trees, is off to an intriguing start. What happens when an alien invasion starts then suddenly stops? That's premise in issue one as ten years have gone by since these strange but enormously tall beams or "trees" pierced locations around the world and remained stationary without a word from their owners. That's not to say there isn't a lot going on in the world they inhabit.

COMICS REVISITED: Vigilante by Marv Wolfman and George Perez

In the early days of my comic book collecting as a young man there are books that stay with you. Sure, the big books like Batman, Spider-Man, X-Men, and others easily stand out but it's the guilty pleasures, the books whose short shelf life don't really reflect the impact they had good or bad as a fledgling comic book reader. In 1983, DC Comics released Vigilante created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez and I was hooked.

A Solo Batman Movie Could be in the Plans for Ben Affleck in 2019

Anyone who saw the alleged list of planned DC Comics movies from Warner Bros may have noticed there was no solo Batman movie. 'The Flash' Promo Puts Barry in the Friend Zone as Candice Patton Explains

Long before the term "friend zone" took on the ominous undertone it does today it simply meant that perfectly nice guys were being overlooked by gal pals for not-so-nice guys. It's in that vein that this CW video promo for the upcoming The Flash series helps explain, with the help of "Iris West" herself Candice Patton, the relationship between Grant Gustin's Barry Allen (Flash) and Iris.

'Lucy' Starring Scarlett Johansson Releases a New TV Spot

A fourth TV trailer was released for Lucy, starring Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman. It features much of the same footage you've seen before but with more dialogue from Freeman. New 'Sin City: A Dame To Kill For' Trailer - Now with More JGL!

There's no denying the visually striking black and white noir style of Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For being co-directed with Miller and Robert Rodriguez. Rodriguez, like with the first film, promised to keep as true as possible to the graphic novels it was based on to mimic it frame by frame. Warner Bros. Tours Announces Batman Exhibit in Honor of Dark Knight's 75th Anniversary

I'm not sure what fans expected from a Twitter handle like "Warner Bros Tours" when they teased some big reveal but it sure wasn't anything related to the upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice movie as some had guessed. Instead, the big announcement involved honoring Batman on his 75th anniversary with a VIP studio tour featuring costumes, cars, gadgets and more from the iconic films.

Lazarus #8 Review

“LIFT,” Part Four
Forever calls on the Daggers. The Barrets reach the final stage of their journey as all threads converge on Denver for the Lift.
Lazarus is not your typical post apocalyptic/sci-fi/western thriller. It's a character driven tale of the powerful and how they keep and exercise their power amid a society divided by class. At the heart of the series is Forever Carlyle, the most sympathetic genetically engineered enforcer and protector ever seen in comics, a cross between Terminator and La Femme Nikita. In issue #8, the stakes are higher as she is tasked with averting a bombing at the Lift.

ART: Batman and Commissioner Gordon by Francesco Francavilla

Francesco Francavilla is an artist of the people. The prolific illustrator shares a ton of art; concept, commissions, previews, his own fan art, whatever Mr. Francavilla is doing at the time on his tumblr page. In the month of May he created a work of art once-a-day and made it available for sale. Sgt. Rock, King Kong, Daredevil, Iron Man, Orion, Spider-Man were just some of the characters illustrated during the month.

Rocket Girl #5 Review

The hard-hitting conclusion to the first story arc! Teen time-cop DaYoung Johansson uncovers a thing or two about both New York Cities, the connection between past and future, and the secrets that people don’t even know they keep. Growing up is hard to do—and sometimes it proves to be impossible.
One of the best looking books in all of comics, Rocket Girl #5, is out and it's as stunning as usual but also the conclusion to its first arc by Brandon Montclare and Amy Reeder. Reeder is one of my favorite artists and Montclare has given her a lot to work with before they embark on a summer hiatus.
