Batman / Batman Joker

Does the Joker Come Out in Batman Beyond?

If you’re a fan of the Batman franchise, you may be wondering whether the Joker makes an appearance in Batman Beyond. The answer is yes, but not in the way you might expect.

In the original Batman series, the Joker was one of Batman’s most prominent and enduring villains. He was known for his maniacal laughter, his clown-like appearance, and his twisted sense of humor. But in the world of Batman Beyond, which takes place several decades after the events of the original series, things have changed.

The Joker does make an appearance in Batman Beyond, but he is not the same Joker that we know and love (or hate) from the original series. Instead, he appears as a new character named ‘Jokerz’. The ‘Jokerz’ are a gang of teenagers who idolize the original Joker and have taken on his persona as their own.

In season one episode 9 “Joyride”, Terry McGinnis (the new Batman) has to face off against these ‘Jokerz’. They steal a high-tech car from Bruce Wayne’s Batcave and go on a joyride through Gotham City. In this episode, we see that they have adopted all of the original Joker’s mannerisms – from his cackling laughter to his signature playing card motifs.

While this version of the Joker may not be as iconic as the original, it still provides an interesting twist on the character. By having him appear as part of a gang rather than as an individual villain, it adds layers to his legacy and shows how far-reaching his influence really was.

In conclusion, while you won’t see the original Joker himself appear in Batman Beyond, you will encounter a group that pays homage to him through their actions and appearance. So if you’re a fan of all things Batman and want to see how this iconic villain’s legacy lives on in future generations – be sure to check out this episode!
