Batman / Batman Joker

Was That the Joker in the Batman?

The Batman is one of the most anticipated movies of 2022. Fans have been eagerly waiting for any clue or teaser about the movie’s plot and characters.

Recently, a new trailer dropped that has sparked a lot of excitement and speculation among fans. One particular scene in the trailer has caused many to wonder if the Joker will be making an appearance in the film.

In the scene, we see a man in clown makeup being pursued by Batman on his motorcycle. The man is wearing a red suit and appears to be holding a gun. While this may seem like a clear reference to the Joker, it’s important to note that there hasn’t been any confirmation from Warner Bros. or the filmmakers that the character will appear in the movie.

However, there are several clues and theories that suggest that this could indeed be our first look at the Joker in The Batman.

Firstly, the clown makeup is a signature look for the Joker. In almost every incarnation of the character, he is seen wearing some form of clown makeup or face paint. This, coupled with his red suit, could be seen as a nod to his classic comic book appearance.

Additionally, there have been rumors circulating for months that actor Willem Dafoe has been cast as the Joker in The Batman. Dafoe is known for his ability to play complex and unsettling characters, making him an ideal choice for this iconic role.

While it’s important to take these rumors with a grain of salt until official confirmation is given, it’s hard not to get excited about the possibility of seeing Dafoe bring one of DC Comics’ most iconic villains to life once again on screen.

Of course, there are also those who believe that this clown character could simply be an Easter egg or nod to the Joker without actually featuring him in The Batman. Only time will tell if we’ll see him make an appearance alongside Robert Pattinson’s Dark Knight.

Regardless of whether or not the Joker appears in The Batman, it’s clear that director Matt Reeves has some big plans for the Caped Crusader’s rogues gallery. Other villains confirmed to appear in the movie include Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot (aka the Penguin) and Paul Dano as Edward Nashton (aka the Riddler).

In conclusion, while we can’t say for sure whether or not that was the Joker in The Batman trailer, it’s certainly a possibility. Fans will have to wait until March 4th, 2022 when the movie hits theaters to find out for sure. Until then, we’ll just have to keep speculating and theorizing about what other surprises Reeves has in store for us.
