In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Klaw is portrayed as a black-market arms dealer who specializes in Vibranium theft. He has a prosthetic arm made of Vibranium and uses it as his weapon of choice.
Klaw’s Appearances in Marvel Movies
Klaw has appeared in three Marvel movies so far:
1) Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
Klaw makes his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers: Age of Ultron. In this movie, he is played by actor Andy Serkis.
Klaw is shown selling stolen Vibranium to Ultron, an artificial intelligence program created by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner. The Avengers intercept the deal and attempt to capture Klaw, but he manages to escape.
2) Black Panther (2018)
Klaw’s role becomes more significant in Black Panther, where he serves as one of the main antagonists. This time around, he’s portrayed as an eccentric South African arms dealer who has been stealing Vibranium from Wakanda for years. He teams up with Erik Killmonger, a disgraced Wakandan who seeks to take over the throne and use Wakanda’s resources to arm oppressed people around the world.
Klaw’s Vibranium arm is destroyed by Black Panther, but he manages to escape captivity with Killmonger’s help. The two of them travel to South Korea to sell a stolen Vibranium artifact, but they are intercepted by Black Panther and his allies. During the ensuing fight, Killmonger kills Klaw and takes his body back to Wakanda as a way to prove himself to the Wakandan people.
3) Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
Even though Klaw dies in Black Panther, he makes one more appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron. He appears in a flashback scene where Ultron is searching for Vibranium in Africa. Klaw provides him with information about Wakanda and Vibranium, which leads Ultron to attempt an invasion of the country.
Klaw might not be one of the most well-known Marvel villains, but he has certainly made an impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His appearances in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Black Panther add depth and complexity to the overarching story of the MCU. With his Vibranium arm, distinctive accent, and memorable personality, Klaw is a character that fans won’t soon forget.
