Marvel fans, get ready to mark your calendars! The next few years are going to be jam-packed with exciting releases from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
As we look ahead to 2024, we can already predict some of the incredible movies that will be coming our way. Here’s a rundown of what we know so far.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
First up is the highly anticipated sequel to 2018’s Black Panther. Titled Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, this movie is set to hit theaters on November 10, 2022.
Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the plot just yet – Marvel has been keeping details tightly under wraps. But we do know that Ryan Coogler is returning as writer and director, and the cast will feature many returning favorites such as Letitia Wright as Shuri and Danai Gurira as Okoye.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania
Next up is Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, which is set for release on February 17, 2023. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly will reprise their roles as Scott Lang (Ant-Man) and Hope van Dyne (The Wasp), respectively.
This time around, they’ll be facing off against Kang the Conqueror (played by Jonathan Majors). We can expect plenty of shrinking-and-growing action, as well as some mind-bending time travel elements.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Fans of everyone’s favorite ragtag group of space adventurers will have to wait until May 5, 2023 for the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
James Gunn is back in the director’s chair for this one – a fact that has delighted fans after his brief departure from the project in 2018. The cast will once again include Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, and Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer.
Blade
Moving on to 2024, we have Blade. While we don’t have a specific release date for this movie yet, we do know that it’s currently in development.
This will be the MCU’s first foray into the world of vampires and supernatural creatures. Mahershala Ali will be taking on the titular role, originally played by Wesley Snipes in a trilogy of movies back in the late ’90s and early 2000s.
Fantastic Four
Last but certainly not least, we have Fantastic Four. Once again, we don’t have a release date for this one just yet – but we do know that it’s coming sometime in 2024.
This will be the third attempt at bringing Marvel’s first family to the big screen (after two lackluster attempts from Fox). Jon Watts (who directed Spider-Man: Homecoming and its sequels) will be at the helm of this project.
Conclusion
There you have it – a sneak peek at what Marvel movies will come out in 2024! Of course, there’s always a chance that more movies could be added to the slate as time goes on (Marvel loves to keep us on our toes). But for now, we can start counting down the days until we can see these exciting new adventures unfold on screen.
