What New Marvel Movies and Shows Are Coming Out?

Marvel fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming months and years, as the studio has a plethora of movies and shows in the works. Whether you’re a die-hard comic book reader or just a casual fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), there’s something for everyone on the horizon.

Black Widow: The long-awaited solo movie for Scarlett Johansson’s character finally hits theaters on July 9th, 2021. Set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, the film explores Natasha Romanoff’s past and features an all-star cast including Florence Pugh, Rachel Weisz, and David Harbour.

Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings: This Marvel movie will be released on September 3rd, 2021. Starring Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, it follows his journey as he is drawn into the clandestine Ten Rings organization. Tony Leung plays his father Wenwu, while Awkwafina provides comic relief as Katy.

The Eternals: This ensemble movie will release on November 5th, 2021. It introduces a new group of superheroes who have been living on Earth for thousands of years, featuring actors such as Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Richard Madden, Gemma Chan and Kumail Nanjiani.

Spider-Man: No Way Home: Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker in this highly anticipated December 17th release that promises to connect with both previous Spider-Man films and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Fans are eagerly awaiting news about whether Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield will make an appearance.

Upcoming TV Shows

Loki: Following his escape with the Tesseract in Avengers: Endgame, the god of mischief (Tom Hiddleston) finds himself in the hands of the Time Variance Authority. This show premiered on June 9th, 2021 on Disney+ and is already receiving rave reviews from fans.

What If..? : This animated series premieres on August 11th, 2021 and explores alternate realities of the MCU, such as “What if Peggy Carter became Captain America?”

or “What if T’Challa was Star-Lord?” It features many returning actors from the films voicing their characters.

Hawkeye: Jeremy Renner returns as Clint Barton in this Disney+ series that will be released later this year. It introduces Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld), a young archer who is set to become the next Hawkeye.

Ms. Marvel: Newcomer Iman Vellani stars as Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American teenager who gains shape-shifting powers and takes up the mantle of Ms. Marvel. The show will premiere later in 2021 on Disney+.
