Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)
Captain America: The First Avenger takes us back to World War II where Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, becomes the first Captain America and battles against HYDRA.
The Avengers (2012)
The Avengers brings all of our heroes together to face off against Loki and his army. This movie sets up the rest of the MCU and introduces us to some new characters like Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Nick Fury.
Phase Two: Expansion
Phase two includes six movies that were released between 2013 and 2015. This phase expands on the universe and introduces us to new heroes like Ant-Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Iron Man 3 (2013)
Iron Man 3 sees Tony Stark facing off against The Mandarin, played by Ben Kingsley, who is a terrorist threatening the United States.
Thor: The Dark World (2013)
Thor: The Dark World sees Thor facing off against Malekith, who seeks to destroy Asgard with a weapon known as the Aether.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
Captain America: The Winter Soldier sees Steve Rogers teaming up with Black Widow to uncover a conspiracy within S.H.I.E.L.D.
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Guardians of the Galaxy introduces us to a new group of heroes, including Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot. Together they must protect the galaxy from Ronan the Accuser.
Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
Avengers: Age of Ultron sees our heroes facing off against an artificial intelligence named Ultron who seeks to destroy humanity.
Ant-Man introduces us to Scott Lang, played by Paul Rudd, who becomes Ant-Man under the tutelage of Hank Pym, played by Michael Douglas.
Phase Three: The Endgame
Phase three includes eleven movies that were released between 2016 and 2019. This phase brings an end to some of our favorite heroes’ stories and introduces us to new ones like Doctor Strange and Black Panther.
Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Captain America: Civil War sees our heroes divided over the Sokovia Accords, which seek to regulate their actions after the events of Age of Ultron.
Doctor Strange (2016)
Doctor Strange introduces us to Stephen Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, who becomes a sorcerer after a career-ending accident.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 sees our favorite space misfits facing off against a race called the Sovereign while also uncovering the truth about Peter Quill’s father.
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
Spider-Man: Homecoming sees Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, trying to balance his life as a high school student with his duties as Spider-Man.
Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
Thor: Ragnarok sees Thor teaming up with Hulk and Loki to stop Hela from destroying Asgard.
Black Panther (2018)

Ant-Man and the Wasp sees Scott Lang teaming up with Hope van Dyne, played by Evangeline Lilly, to find her mother who has been lost in the Quantum Realm.
Captain Marvel (2019)
Captain Marvel introduces us to Carol Danvers, played by Brie Larson, who becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
Avengers: Endgame brings an end to some of our favorite heroes’ stories while also setting up the future of the MCU.
Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019)
Spider-Man: Far From Home sees Peter Parker dealing with the aftermath of Endgame while also facing off against a new villain known as Mysterio.
