Who Was Archie’s Girlfriend in the Comic Strip?

Additionally, in an episode of the animated series “Josie and the Pussycats,” titled “The Great Pussycat Chase,” Archie is seen trying to win Josie’s affections by offering to be her road manager. While she ultimately turns him down, it’s clear that he had some level of interest in her.

Although it’s been many years since Josie last appeared in an Archie Comics publication, her legacy lives on today. The character has been adapted into various media over the years, including a live-action film adaptation in 2001 and a CW television series, “Katy Keene,” which premiered in 2020. Additionally, the character’s band, Josie and the Pussycats, has become a cultural icon and has been referenced in various forms of media over the years.


While Josie may not have been officially designated as Archie’s girlfriend in the comic strip, there were certainly hints that there may have been something between them.
